Practical
Life - which includes painting, gluing, drawing, water work and
exercises to strengthen fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination,
and to develop concentration.
Sensorial- where the child’s five (plus) senses are trained and prepared
for later learning by their playing with the unique Montessori
materials.
Language- where the child is inspired to learn the phonetic sounds of the
alphabet and to read. Math – the concrete materials teach number concepts and mathematical
concepts while they play with them.
Cultural
Studies– here the child learns about the world and the people,
plants and animals that live in the different parts of the world.
The
child will also be able to participate in Music and Movement, Dance
and Drama and outside play including various field trips and
activities to bring the outside world into the classroom allowing
him/her to develop mutually respectful relationships essential for
him/her to live responsibly in a diverse world.
